AIGC Chain divides avatar NFTs into three categories:
2D NFTs
3D Generation I NFTs (3D G1 NFTs)
3D Generation II NFTs (3D G2 NFTs)
For a human-like avatar NFT, users can use AIGC Chain to generate a 3D G1 avatar by paying a community fee. The generated human-like avatar will have a skeletal binding, through which various movements of the avatar's facial and body can be achieved. This includes speaking, walking, running, jumping, etc. Users can use 3D avatars as their DID in the metaverse to live stream, socialize, and play games.
AIGC Chain has been integrated with several metaverse platforms including WebGL-based metaverse, iPolloverse. Users can use their 3D avatar NFTs to interact with others or buy various NFT accessories to dress up their avatars. A G2 NFT is the derivative NFT which is re-generated from a G1 NFT. The first demo below shows that a human-like 3D avatar is generated from a sketch image. The second demo shows how a 3D human-like avatar can be generated from an anime image, which may not be very similar to a photorealistic human. AIGC Chain can make an avatar that looks like a person by first guessing a 2D person who might look like the anime image.
Developing a 3D human-like avatar generation and animation technology involves using advanced algorithms and machine learning techniques to analyze large amounts of data. The data is the basis for creating digital representations of human faces and facial movements. By taking thousands of selfies and 3D scans of people speaking with different vowels and tones, we trained a GAN model to make human-like avatars that can mimic a wide range of 3D facial constructions across genders and races.
Users can just upload a single selfie or an artistic picture of themselves to AIGC Chain, and the 3D facial avatars will be made in minutes. AIGC Chain also is developing a marketplace where artists can create various hair styles, clothes, and shoes as NFT accessories for users to dress up their avatar NFTs. The artistic image of users can be generated by AIGC Chain using text or image as well. For example, the below image NFT on the left was generated by AIGC Chain using text. The 3D avatar NFT on the right was generated by the left NFT, where the hairstyle is a default short black hair. Users can buy a hairstyle NFT from the marketplace to dress up this avatar NFT.
Researchers in academia and business are still working on making algorithms that can turn text into different kinds of 3D objects. This is an active area of research, and there are many ongoing efforts to improve the capabilities of these algorithms with the goal of efficiently increasing their versatility. By following the latest research from around the world and conducting proprietary research, we can stay up-to-date on the latest developments and actively enhance relevant capabilities. Additionally, by collaborating with research communities and web3 communities, we can leverage the expertise and knowledge of others to push the boundaries of this technology even further. We hope to open up community testing once 3D testing is available and ready.
